Our concentrated candle colours are sourced from a local supplier (RSA) made specially for candle making. Our candle flakes are an easy way to consistently create many different shades for colouring candles
- Once the colour flakes have been added to the melted wax we recommend stirring throughly to ensure the colouring flakes fully desperses in the melted wax
- Add colour before fragrance
- Temperature for Soy wax is 60-65 degrees & parrafin wax is 75-79 degrees
- Use a spoon to blend not an electric blender
- Increase grams for darker colours and decrease for light colours – 2g/1000ml for darker shades, 1g/1000ml for medium shades and 0.5g for Lighter shades
Note:
- As with all candle making projects we always recommend own testing to achive desired results
- The shade shown in the colour image is approximate and can vary with the amount of dye or type of wax used
- Due to wax consistencies it is common for paraffin waxes to produce vibrant colours and Soy Waxes to produce pastel colours
